Sunday Drive
Cars 3 3D
Review by Ross Anthony

The "last few laps" really put the rubber to the road, but the film starts slow and simply can't muster much traction until then, save for a wonderfully raucous, 10-minute, smash-up-derby sequence that wakes audiences during that first sleepy hour. Plus, while the visuals are crisp, clean, and impressive, the 3D adds very little. I quite enjoyed the first CARS film, but Joe Morgenstern's Rottentomatoes quote nails my sentiments toward this newest installment. That said, the 7-10 minute short entitled "Lou" that precedes the film is pretty darned good!

Rand() functions, Pho chicken soup, rollerblading, and frozen yogurt (w/ blueberries) also rock! (Btw, rand is short for random. It can also stand for "Really Awkward Nutty Dinosaurs" -- which is quite rand, isn't it?) Being alive is the miracle.
