Memory Lane
Reminiscence
Review by Ross Anthony

Sci-Fi Noir. Though the main character is essentially a memory machine tech, he narrates this memory-driven thriller as if it were an old-fashioned crime drama.

The visuals are artistically fantastic, and the score strong, unfortunately the script/dialogue, impact, and pacing lack. Despite the hard-hitting trailer, the film is more of a quiet artsy cerebral expression where the action scenes feel a bit out of place.

Though there are many problems with the story, this production still could have succeeded. Two things held it back. 1. It's hard to care much for any of these characters. 2. Given the supernatural subject matter, and excellent visuals, art direction, costuming, cinematography and score, this film should send shivers down the human spine. Sadly, that beautiful magic only happened once.

Absolutely loved the piano scene and the big reveal scene, would have been an A+ if that kind of magic could have been sprinkled throughout.
