I'm author Ross Anthony. I'm so curious what students think, that I traveled all the way around the world talking with students in over 25 countries.
Now, I want to know what's in your brain. How does your brain learn best? Does your brain even like to learn? I want to know. And I'm challenging you to tell me with a pen. Or are you afraid of the pen? I dare you to make friends with the pen.
Honing your skills with the pen is one of the most powerful ways to honor what's happening in your head.
Students think writing is hard. But writing is easy. It's just daydreaming on paper.
Get ready for me. Your principal has invited me to your school. You
and I, we're going to write a book together. A book made up of your thoughts.
Writing can take many forms, I myself have written persuasive essays, narratives, poems, books, songs, and critical reviews.
But don't worry about form. Choose whatever style happens for you. And don't worry about addressing the prompts exactly and completely. They're only meant to warm up what's already in your brain. The most important thing is that you relax, be honest and be genuine. The best writing comes from the heart and rings of your personal truth.
Each of your essays will be in the book. However, I'm going to choose one writer from each classroom to join a team of elite editors that I will personally lead during publication week. This isn't just going to be fun, this is going to be empowering and life changing. See you soon.
