Monterey Highlands Book Project 2010 Why - Motivation
Empowering and nurturing life-long learners, this is the essence of our purpose as educators. When we inspire a child to read, we plant the seed of an independent, self-reliant mind. We open the door to a world of information, thought and art. When we inspire a child to write, we plant the seed of action. Let's equip the next generation with the single most powerful tool to interact with and change the world through information, thought and art.

Mr. Anthony inspires students to write better, read more, and dream. He's a speaker, novelist, film reviewer for HollywoodReportCard.com, composer, and world-traveler. He's journeyed the circumference of the planet writing books for kids, teens and adults, while visiting and working with people in over thirty countries. He's bungee-jumped from a bridge near Victoria Falls, wrestled with lions in Zimbabwe, crashed a Vespa off a high mountain road in Taiwan, and ridden a dirt bike across the States (coast to coast).
