Explosions and Guns
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
Review by Ross Anthony

The film begins and ends in action movie cliché offering little to get excited over, but the middle actually compels. Additionally, Antonio and Lucy are somehow believable and interestingly melancholy. That sad mood contrasted with action gives the film a stronger depth than would otherwise be expected. But, don't expect too much dimension-wise, just sit back and enjoy Lucy Liu with her stone cold cheekbones and expressionless eyes kick the living daylights out of the bad guys. She looks marvelous. And forget about dialogue, it's all about explosions and guns.
