White, Black, and Brown
Great Bear Rainforest
Review by Ross Anthony

Lovely story that follows how modern First Nations peoples steward the rare white Spirit Bear in Canada's rainforests. A father and son watch these bears as they interact with black bears and grizzlies and fish for salmon in their rainforest home. The production sports some lovely wide open sky and landscape photography, though at times I felt the 3D ocular balance could have been tweaked better, leaving the perspective ratios to feel a bit off. That said some of the animal shots were simply wonderful. These visuals will wow you: the massive herring migration and feeding, the whales, seals, cuddly sea otters, eagles snatching unsuspecting fish from the water. As an added bonus, stick around for the credits and enjoy the fun "take outs."
