This is a musical love story between a jazz lover, an aspiring actress and the city of Los Angeles. The "La" in "La La Land" refers to L.A. (Los Angeles). The music is good, the acting is strong. In fact, Emma Stone's performance is rather breathtaking. I loved the car-horn motif – used with wonderful impact. The film has many careful thoughtful artistic moments. Great to see John Legend cameo – he gives a strong acting performance in addition to his musical talents. |
