This interesting documentary explores the internal process of a whistle-blower, more than treatments for cancer. Not just the steps that lead up to Moss's leaking of information counter to the wishes of his employers, but how such a radical decision affected his wife and children. Their statements bring a warmth to what could have otherwise been a rather academic picture.
Structurally speaking, while filmmaker Eric Merola includes some quite relevant footage and stills from the time period in question (1970's), in general the doc relies mainly on straight interview shots with Moss and his family. Additionally, cuts of documents with Moss reading highlighted passages spent just a little too much time on the screen for my tastes.
That said, this is a worthy piece of work. Moss is engaging, the subject matter important, and the example of someone following their heart despite unpleasant consequences sadly rare and rather welcome.
