Gritty, quirky, funny, well-paced, well-acted. I especially enjoyed Sam Rockwell's performance – though all were strong. If you're up for a different movie, see this one. Don't expect gentle or politically correct, there's a lot of anger here getting expressed in all sorts of inappropriate and unproductive ways. That said, I love the contrasting compassion (though limited) that creeps up among the weeds. |
