I'm such a fan of Nick Hornby's writing style. It's light, clever, fluid, gritty, real, with a dry wit and often dark humor. It's so easy to read and easy to cajole chuckles - the pages fly by. This story completely engaged me. And yes, the ending was brave, however sadly not terribly satisfying to me. So much to love here, though, in my humble opinion, not so much the true-to-life ring of the resolution.
