Hmmm. This isn't the film that religious communities have been waiting for. It's more of a battle film than a theological reflection. I much preferred Evan Almighty, which in fact, did a better job with the animals as well. But, Noah, is sort of amusing in its ridiculousness. Hollywood was forced to manufacture some drama and interesting visuals as the source material is only a handful of pages long. However, even reviewing it solely as entertainment, the film fails to produce meaningful emotional connections with its characters and relies too heavily on action to carry us through the storm.
