Wow! This is a beautiful documentary with strong, compelling, emotional testimonials from the pilots and their families. Get in the cockpit with them, get in their SUV with their dog. This is warm, fuzzy and spectacular across a blue sky or IMAX screen near you.
There really isn't a bad thing to say here, but I do have a few suggestions. The first is that I hope the filmmakers make a 40-50 minute cut-down version that favors the flying for the museum/etc market. Note the running time is about an hour and a half. The pacing is at times breathtaking and others, surprisingly calm.
At the end of the day, it's a great film to see on any big screen. It's a marvelous way to get some Blue Angels adrenaline without a long drive and fighting crowds. And while you may be quite content in your cozy zero-mile-an-hour theatre seat, these pilots will inspire you to be better at whatever excites you.
If you go see it, you'll likely find yourself saying, "I'm glad to be here."
