This is a sweet little documentary (in standard definition). It's a simple, and very ragged production (especially in the beginning), but with a warm heart and an endearing subject it eases forward without force and fills empty spaces with an appropriately relaxed pace. As so many features these days are overly violent, and so many documentaries are heavy-handed one way or the other, it's refreshing to watch a film about a man who has helped so many individuals grow.
The film is a patchwork of interviews with a handful of these individuals accented with brief moments with family members. I watched it with my girlfriend who is a Tai Chi instructor. She agreed it was ragged, but a nice reminder of the central philosophies of Tai Chi.
