Family Ties
Allswell in New York
Review by Ross Anthony

Allswell is a very well put together indie with a tour de force performance by Elizabeth Rodriguez (who also co-writes). In fact, there's a pivotal 5-6 minute scene at the 2/3rds mark with Rodriguez, Lansing and Wolfe that absolutely rocks the screen. The acting, writing, cinematography, and direction coalesce to create a moment that we can point at and say "This is why we all love the medium of film." That said, Allswell on the whole is an imperfect slice of lives pic where many dramatic events coincide in a convenient literary way. Nonetheless, I found it compelling, endearing and engaging because of the apt acting and direction. If you like family drama, this won’t disappoint.

Rand() functions, Pho chicken soup, rollerblading, and frozen yogurt (w/ blueberries) also rock! (Btw, rand is short for random. It can also stand for "Really Awkward Nutty Dinosaurs" -- which is quite rand, isn't it?) Being alive is the miracle.
