Wow! What style! What beautiful pace and build. Acting is top notch. Dialogue is crisp. Cinematography sweet and stylized. Editing -right on. At the midpoint, I said to my girlfriend, "This is the perfect movie." Unfortunately, the pay off did not offer the same impact as the build up. And then later, upon reflection, I enjoyed the film less. Yes, I know, how revisionist of me. But that's part of my experience with this picture, which is still, nonetheless, a very good film. Strong B+. |
