A bit of a troubled first act, but this unlikely buddy film picks up steam. Yes it has action, but it's really the quiet awkward and funny moments that propel. I love the dialogue and especially the interactions. Fun! Also, has anyone been saying what a great actor Casey Affleck is? His performances are powerful, emotional, real, purposely un-showey. His low-key retorts in this film are sharp, edgy, and hard-hitting despite their carefully understated delivery. "Hey look, some more negotiators." |
